I could only find one site that said Gingrich won, the rest all said Ron Paul won by a landslide. Note that in the Gingrich article, no mention of Ron Paul is made. According to http://www.thecarolinapatriot.com/ Ron Paul got 52.2% of the vote but in the Gingrich article it says Gingrich won with 55%, this doesn’t pass the smell test.

GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich emerged as the favorite among party faithful, according to a straw poll at Saturday’s fundraising dinner.
Gingrich bested Herman Cain, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry — other top Republican candidates for the White House — with 55 percent of the vote, a party official reported. About 200 votes were cast.
The Hall of Fame dinner, an annual GOP fundraiser that was closed to the media, featured Ken Cuccinelli, Virginia’s attorney general. None of the candidates appeared at the event.
The straw poll is virtually meaningless — an unscientific sampling of the state Republican Party — but reflects the momentum Gingrich is carrying after Cain, the former frontrunner, continued to stumble.
In other straw poll contests, Dan Forest beat Tony Gurley in lieutenant governor balloting.

Ron Paul 2012
Ron Paul wins the NC voter Straw poll by huge margin. This poll was restricted to registered NC voters by their registration numbers so it couldn’t be spammed. Of course the MSM will probably not report this. NC allows indys to vote whatever party they want,

Ron Paul wins by a landslide in North Carolina
-Daily Paul
Here are the results of the NC Republican Grassroots Straw Poll, which was conducted online on Saturday. The poll was designed to give grassroots Republicans and Independents a chance to weigh in on the entire Republican Presidential candidate field. It was conceived by grassroots people in response to the NC State GOP’s “official” straw poll, which was held in conjunction with a Hall of Fame Dinner, and cost $125 to participate in. Total votes, 630, of which 507 were registered Republicans, and 123 were Independents.
