7 California boys arrested in attack on teen

I hate to say it but, shit like this is the reason black youths are stereotyped, it’s way too prevalent in the black communities.

By Associated Press Published: Mar 30, 2012 at 10:20 PM PDT

PALMDALE, Calif. (AP) – Seven black teens have been arrested on suspicion that they committed a hate crime when they attacked a 15-year-old Hispanic boy while he was walking home from school in Southern California, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.

The March 14 beating in Palmdale was captured on video and posted on YouTube, but has since been removed from the site. The seven boys, ages 13 to 16, were arrested Wednesday for investigation of assault and committing a hate crime, Lt. Don Ford said.

The attack happened near Cactus Middle School, but Ford didn’t know if any of the teens involved were students there.

The video shows as many as 10 boys surrounding the victim and challenging him to a fight. The suspects then began hitting the teen while others watched.

During the beating, the teens made racially derogatory statements that were captured on the video, Ford said.

After the victim fell to the ground, the assailants kicked him multiple times in the head, knocked out several teeth and left shoe impressions on his skin, Ford said.

The victim was able to get to his feet and escape the onslaught, and will need to undergo dental surgery.

The teens who were arrested were identified from the video, which was discovered by a Palmdale sheriff’s deputy and has been retained for evidence. Authorities are not releasing the video.

Police are seeking three more suspects.

An arraignment date has not been set yet.

Gun group opens legal defense fund for Zimmerman…

Texas lawyers offer $10,000 for George Zimmerman’s legal defense

5:48 p.m. EST, March 30, 2012|  By Henry Pierson Curtis, Orlando Sentinel

The National Association for Legal Gun Defense wants to contribute $10,000 toward George Zimmerman’s legal expenses, a member said today.

The group represents gun owners involved in self-defense shooting cases, said attorney Blue Rannefeld of Fort Worth, Texas.

Rannefeld said he has not been able to contact Zimmerman, 28, and is trying to reach Zimmerman’s attorney, Craig Sonner of Altamonte Springs to make the group’s offer of assistance.

Hoodie-Wearing Gunmen Kill 1, Wound 5 in Bobby Rush’s Chicago District

It’s getting pretty bizarre when the headlines read, “Hoodie wearing gunmen kill”.  Here’s  a heads up, guns don’t kill people, hoodies don’t kill people, evil and stupid people kill people.  Blacks aren’t the only ones who wear hoodies, whites wear hoodies too, like my lily white granddaughter and her lily white friends.  It’s not the hoodie that’s sinister, it’s youths that have no respect for other people let alone the law, that are sinister.   It is somewhat interesting to note that this happened in Rep. Rush’s back yard and that it totally negated his point from his antics in the House of Representatives yesterday.  I have a solution, let’s ban hoodies.

by Dan Riehl  March 30, 2010

Former Black Panther Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) made quite a fuss when he donned a “hoodie” during a speech in the U.S. House of Representatives until he was escorted out. At the time, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) “applauded his courage”for doing so.

Meanwhile, back home in Rush’s district, two men wearing hooded sweatshirts, or “hoodies,” were the shooters in an incident that left one dead and five injured.

In fact, during a span of six-hours Thursday night, 13 people were shot, leaving two dead in Chicago. It would seem it takes more courage to simply walk down the street in Rush’s district than it does to wear a hooded sweatshirt in the House of Representatives by way of a stunt in a bizarre tribute to a young man shot and killed in Florida during a shooting incident still under investigation.

13 shot, 2 dead in Chicago in six hours Thursday night

The worst shooting occurred around 6 p.m. Thursday when two men in hooded sweatshirts opened fire inside a convenience store in the 1400 block of West 79th Street in the Gresham neighborhood, police said.

One man was killed and five others were wounded. The victims ranged in age from 16 to 24. The gunmen fled in an SUV and police continued searching for them this morning.

There’s also another report on that particuar incident here.

Perhaps if Bobby Rush and Nancy Pelosi ever got around to actually doing something to uplift the people in Rush’s district, there would be fewer stories like the one above out of Chicago, and less need to don a piece of clothing in Congress in what amounts to an empty and silly gesture.

Obama goes after SC Gov. Nikki Haley

Looks like Obama is extracting his revenge.  Let this be a lesson to all of you, piss Obama off, get audited.

Report: DOJ may indict SC Gov. Nikki Haley for tax fraud

By Nicholas BallasyReport:

The Department of Justice may indict South Carolina Republican Gov. Nikki Haley on charges of tax fraud, according to the Palmetto Public Record, a South Carolina political blog.

PPR reported that a “highly ranked” federal government official “privately confirmed rumblings of an investigation” and the “possible indictment of the governor.” The report said the official, however, could not provide a specific time frame.

However, two “well-placed legal experts” said the DOJ indictment could come as early as next week, according to the report.

The alleged tax fraud reportedly occurred during Haley’s time managing finances for the Sikh worship center in South Carolina run by her father, Dr. Ajit Singh Randhawa.

In addition to reports of impending federal criminal charges, a group of South Carolina Democratic lawmakers is calling on Haley to waive her right to treat confidentially any ethics complaints that may be pending against her.

Asked by The Daily Caller to clarify what charges, if any, Haley will be facing, a Department of Justice spokesman responded, “We would have no comment.” Asked if that meant no investigation into Gov. Haley’s alleged tax fraud was underway, the spokesman responded in an email: “It means we have no comment.”

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Trayvon Martin shooting death — initial police reports

Note that Zimmerman’s gun “was placed into evidence,” not returned to him as so many rumors had it.

Note  that Trayvon Martin’s weight is listed as 160 pounds, not the 140 pounds that you read all over, as in this lead paragraph from a Daily Beast story today.  His height is listed as 6 feet; George Zimmerman is listed at 5 feet 9 inches, but no weight is given.

Note the notation that the scene was secured with crime scene tape, and compare that to Jesse Jackson’s complaint, “They didn’t even bother to put yellow tape around the murder scene when he died, That’s how much the police did to find out what happened to this young boy.”

A transcript of Zimmerman’s first 911 call is here. CNN’s exhaustive effort to determine whether Zimmerman used the word “coon” in an audible sigh during that call is here. The latest story on Zimmerman’s account from the Orlando Sentinel is here.

Justice Scalia invokes the 8th Amendment

Scalia Likens Reading Obamacare to Cruel and Unusual Punishment

March 28, 2012 2:46 pm

Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia humorously invoked the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution, which forbids cruel and unusual punishments, when discussing the Obamacare legislation during oral argument today at the Supreme Court.

JUSTICE SCALIA: Mr. Kneedler, what happened to the Eighth Amendment? You really want us to go through these 2,700 pages?

(Laughter.)

JUSTICE SCALIA: And do you really expect the Court to do that? Or do you expect us to — to give this function to our law clerks?

Is this not totally unrealistic? That we are going to go through this enormous bill item by item and decide each one?

MR. KNEEDLER: Well -

My personal feeling, if the court strikes this down is, the govt will expand Medicaid so that those now that don’t meet the current guidelines will be able to do so by the govt raising the income limit.  In the end we’ll have to pay anyway.
